- I'm not sure what you're getting at. You want to know what the alternatives
- are and why they *don't* fit the bill??

- I don't see any problem with feature by feature comparisons (which
- admittedly turn into endless comparisons). I think most of the people
- in comp.lang.ada know what they want in a language, which translates
- into "utility in the real world". I know what I'm looking for, and
- it seems that Ada fits the bill well, with Eiffel being another
- serious contender.

- and last sentence ("where I will run into problems...") seemed
- contradictory at first.

- For instance, the avionics world and desktop worlds are quite now.
